Delivery app, done for you

When orders come in through calls and messages, operators mix up addresses and customers have no idea where their courier is. Your own delivery app turns the order journey — from choosing a dish or product to the doorstep — into one clear flow.

What the “Delivery app” project includes

The solution scope we usually plan for a project — the final feature set is fixed at the brief.

01

Catalog and cart

A menu or products with photos, options and add-ons — customers build an order as easily as in the delivery apps they know.

02

Addresses and delivery zones

A map of zones with different fees and minimum orders, address suggestions and an estimated delivery time.

03

Online payment

Card payment at checkout or payment to the courier — with a receipt and automatic order confirmation.

04

Courier screen

The courier sees the route, contacts and order contents and updates statuses, while the customer tracks delivery in real time.

05

Order intake panel

New orders appear in the kitchen or warehouse with a sound alert, a timer and “Preparing” and “On the way” statuses.

06

Reorders and promo codes

A past order is repeated with one tap, and you set up promotions and promo codes in the panel without developers.

We build a delivery app: menu, cart, payment and order tracking. Customers order in a couple of taps, couriers stay in touch. Integrations included.

Your own delivery app or a delivery aggregator?

Delivery aggregators bring a stream of new customers, but they take a commission on every order and keep customer data for themselves. For a venue that is just starting out or gets orders only occasionally, that’s a reasonable compromise. Your own app pays off when you already have regular customers who order often — it’s easier to move them to your own channel than to keep paying a middleman for people you already know.

It’s important to understand that your own app won’t bring in a new audience by itself — it needs to be promoted through your website, packaging, receipts and social media. Often the best strategy is to stay on aggregators to attract customers while encouraging regulars to order directly through rewards. If your menu is small and orders are still few, you can start with a website or a PWA with a cart and online payment.

Delivery app development cost: what it’s made of

A delivery app consists of several connected parts: the customer app, an order management panel, a courier screen and the server logic that ties them together. The cost depends on which of them you need right away. A venue with a couple of its own couriers will be fine with a simplified version, while a chain with several kitchens will need orders distributed across locations and zones.

Then come integrations: sending orders to your POS or accounting system, up-to-date stock and a stop list, calculating delivery zones and times on a map. The price also changes with dish modifiers, complex promotions, a loyalty programme, and the choice between a native app and a PWA. We suggest releasing the first version with the essentials and adding features once it’s clear what customers actually use.

How delivery app development works

First we study the process in the kitchen or warehouse: how an order is received, how long it takes to prepare, who packs it and hands it to the courier. If the app doesn’t match this rhythm, staff will start working around it by phone. So we design three roles — customer, operator and courier — and test the scenarios on a prototype together with your team.

After development we run test orders in real conditions: with different addresses, payment methods, cancellations and item substitutions. Then we publish the app in the App Store and Google Play or launch it as a PWA, set up status notifications and train your staff. In the first weeks after launch we keep a close eye on orders and quickly fix anything that gets in the way of your team or customers.

This is custom development, done for you: we run a brief, describe the features, design around your business logic, and agree the design, timeline and estimate before work starts. We take on the architecture, development, integrations and launch.

Cost and timeline depend on the scope — we estimate individually for the task, not from a single price list. After launch we stay in touch: support, improvements and product development.

Questions about the “Delivery app” project

Can we use our own couriers as well as third-party delivery services?

Yes. Your couriers get a dedicated app or a browser screen, and we connect order handoff to third-party services if they have a way to exchange data.

How do we update the menu, prices and stop-list?

In the admin panel: changes appear in the app immediately, without releasing a new version. With a POS integration, the stop-list can update automatically.

How long will development take?

It depends on the components and integrations. Basic ordering with payment launches faster than a system with a courier app and multiple locations; we fix the timeline by milestone after the brief.

Delivery app: how much does it cost, done for you?

The price depends on the scope: we estimate by features, design and timeline. Describe the task in the calculator on this page to get a “from–to” range, and after the brief we fix the exact estimate. Payment in stages.

Who owns the code and the result?

You do. Once the project is complete and paid for, we hand over the source code, access and documentation. Support and further development can stay with us — by agreement.
